Nestled in the rugged beauty of Aberdeenshire, the Knockdhu Distillery has been crafting its signature single malts since 1894. The distillery uses pot stills with distinctive wide shoulders and flat bases, that allow for a unique extraction of oils, resulting in smooth finely textured whiskers.

• Colour: Burnt amber.
• Nose: Rich, sugary arrival with hints of demerara sugar, leading to sweet vanilla and a medley of orchard fruits. Notes of dried apricots, ripe Royal Gala apples, and a comforting hint of rich barley sugar.
• Palate: A bold, sweet, and sour start with alfalfa honey, subdued by lemon sherbet, evolves into spicy green chillis and gentle smokiness. Sharp lemon zest spritzes appear while morish fig jam calms it down.
• Finish: A wonderfully long finish starts with with rich oak tannins followed by a hint of aromatic cardamom that blends beautifully with lingering smoke. Lemongrass brings a refreshing touch before dark chocolate takes the final act.
